Sanubar Tursun is one of the finest singers in Central Asia today; a star performer regarded by many as a symbol of the Uyghur nation. Her delicate and sensuous vocals breathe fresh life into the classical Muqam repertoire as well as traditional songs. She is accompanied by her brothers, including the virtuoso satar player Hesenjan Tursun, on this, her first European tour.
